Introduction
Some 2004 - 2005 model year LS 430 vehicles may experience a condition, where all of the following Systems are inoperative due to a driver's/passenger's Multiplex Network Door Computer communication failure:
^ The following functions will be inoperative for the door with the affected computer:
^ Smart Key entry
^ Auto Window Operation Inop (Manual window will operate)
^ Power door lock
^ Power mirror
^ Seat memory
^ The affected door ECU will not communicate with the scan tool.
^ B1211 or B1212 (Door ECU communication stop) will be stored in the Body ECU.
Applicable
^ 2004 - 2005 model year LS 430 vehicles produced BEFORE the Effective VINs shown below.

Applicable Warranty:
This repair is covered under the Lexus Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.
* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.
Parts Information
Parts Identification Method
Countermeasure service parts are identified by the 4-digit date code printed on the bottom of the front door multiplex network computer. Date code is 3 B4D or later.
Repair procedure
Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS): 2004 - 2005 model year LS 430 Repair Manual: Engine Hood/door: Front Door: Overhaul (LS 430) for the repair procedure.
^ Complete steps 1 - 8 to replace the ECU.
^ Reverse the steps for installation.
