DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM

The theft warning ECU controls the vehicle's theft deterrent system functions. Theft deterrent system data and the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) can be read in the Data Link Connector 3 (DLC3) of the vehicle. When a malfunction occurs in the theft deterrent system, even though the security indicator lamp does not turn on, DTCs can be checked.

When the system seems to be malfunctioning, use the hand-held tester to check for malfunctions and perform the repairs.
