P0560
DTC P0560 SYSTEM VOLTAGEMONITOR DESCRIPTION
DTC Detection Condition:
Monitor Strategy:
Typical Enabling Conditions:
Typical Malfunction Thresholds:
The battery supplies electricity to the ECM even when the ignition switch is OFF. This electricity allows the ECM to store data such as DTC history, freeze frame data, fuel trim values, and other data. If the battery voltage falls below a minimum level, these memory are cleared and the ECM will conclude that there is a fault in the power supply circuit. At the next engine start, the ECM will illuminate the MIL and set a DTC.
HINT: If DTC P0560 is present, the ECM will not store other DTCs.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS
HINT: Inspect the vehicle's ECM using check mode. Intermittent problems are easier to detect when the hand-held tester is in check mode. In check mode, the hand-held tester uses 1 trip detection logic, which has a higher sensitivity to malfunctions than normal mode (default), which uses 2 trip detection logic.
a. Clear the DTCs.
b. Set the check mode.
c. Perform a simulation test.
d. Check the connector and terminal.
e. Wiggle the harness and the connector.
