Manual Shifting Test
MANUAL SHIFTING TESTHINT: By this test, it can be determined whether the trouble is within the electrical circuit or is a mechanical problem in the transmission.
a. Disconnect the solenoid wire.
b. Inspect the manual driving operation.
Check that the shift and gear positions correspond to the table.
While driving, shift through the L, 2, 3, 4 (or M) and D positions. Check that the gear change corresponds to the shift position.
HINT: If the gear positions of the L, 2, 3, 4 (or M) and D are difficult distinguish, do the road test.
If any abnormality is found in the manual shifting test, the problem is in the transmission itself.
c. Connect the solenoid wire.
d. Clear out the DTC.
