Theft Deterrent System
TERMINALS OF ECU1. CHECK THEFT WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY (THEFT DETERRENT ECU)
a. Disconnect the theft warning ECU assembly connector, and check the voltage and continuity of each terminal of the disconnected connector.
If the result is not as specified, the wire harness side may malfunction.
b. Connect the theft warning ECU assembly connector, and check the voltage of each terminal of the connector.
If the result is not as specified, the theft warning ECU assembly may malfunction.
2. CHECK DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY (BODY ECU)
a. Inspect the ECU B fuse.
b. Disconnect the 2F driver side junction block connector, and check the voltage of the terminal of the disconnected connector.
If the result is not as specified, the wire harness side may malfunction.
c. Connect the 2F driver side junction block connector.
d. Check the voltage of each terminal of the connectors.
HINT: If the value is not as specified the vehicle may be defective. In this case, check the harness, connector and fuse between the ECU and battery, then repair or replace it if necessary.
