Seat Belt Warning And Key Reminder Without Smart Key System

SYSTEM OUTLINE

1. SEAT BELT WARNING SYSTEM
When the ignition SW is ON and the driver's seat belt is not used, the warning light on the combination meter blinks and the buzzer sounds at the same time to warn the driver. As for the front passenger's seat, only when the built-in occupant detection sensor in the buckle SW RH detects that the front passenger is seated, the system warns the passenger by the warning light (w/o LEXUS navigation system) or the multi-display (w/ LEXUS navigation system).

2. KEY REMINDER SYSTEM
If the front door on the driver's side is opened with the ignition key inserted in the cylinder and the ignition SW is OFF or ACC, the buzzer sounds to prevent the driver from forgetting to pull out the ignition key.

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

1. FUNCTION OF COMPONENT

2. KEY REMINDER WARNING SYSTEM FUNCTION

a. w/O Smart key system:
When the driver door is opened with the ignition switch in the ACC or LOCK position, this system sounds a buzzer to warn the driver that the ignition key has not been removed from the ignition key cylinder.

b. w/ Smart key system:
For the vehicles with the smart key system, with the ignition switch OFF and the smart key in the ignition key cylinder, opening the driver door causes this system to sound a key reminder warning buzzer. This system can also sound a key reminder warning buzzer when the smart key is not inserted into the ignition key cylinder (smart key is in the driver's possession). For details, refer to the smart key system section.
