Quarter Window Glass: Adjustments

QUARTER WINDOW ASSEMBLY RH - ADJUSTMENT

HINT: On the LH side, use the same procedures as on the RH side.




1. INSPECT QUARTER WINDOW ASSEMBLY RH
a. Check that the clearance is within the standard value.




2. ADJUST QUARTER WINDOW ASSEMBLY RH
a. Adjust the lower part of the glass inward/outward.
1. Loosen the 2 bolts on the quarter window assembly.
2. Insert the shim to adjust the glass position (inside/outside).

HINT: The shim should be inserted between the power window regulator and body.

3. Tighten the 2 bolts after adjustment.

Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 71 ft.lbf)




b. Adjust the upper part of the glass inward/outward.
1. Remove the lock nut for the adjusting bolt.
2. Using a hexagon wrench, turn the bolt for adjustment.
3. Tighten the nut after adjustment.

Torque: 13.0 N.m (133 kgf.cm, 10 ft.lbf)




c. Adjust the glass vertically and forward/rearward.
1. Loosen the 3 bolts on the glass for adjustment.
2. Adjust the vertical and forward/rearward positions of the glass.

Vertical position: ± 3 mm (1 0.12 in.)

Horizontal position: ± 5 mm (+0.20 in.)

3. Tighten the 3 bolts after adjustment.

Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 71 ft.lbf)




d. Install the glass stopper.
1. After adjustment (step a to c), install the glass stopper.
2. Tighten the 2 bolts.

Torque: 11.5 N.m (117 kgf.cm, 8.5 ft.lbf)

HINT: When the window is fully closed, adjust the position so that the window touches the 2 stoppers at the same time.
