Removal and Installation

ECM:






REPLACEMENT

1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM ECU COVER

NOTE:
- Wipe water off on the ECM cover and the circumference.
- Operation should be done indoors where it has no rain.
- Do not put any water into the inside of the engine control computer (connector part, screw part, etc).

Remove the 3 bolts and ECM cover.

2. REMOVE ECM
a. Remove the 2 nuts.
b. Disconnect the connector and remove the ECM.

3. INSTALL ECM

NOTE:
- "Operation when exchanging ECM" is necessary when the ECM is replaced.
- Check that there is no trash and foreign objects stuck in the ECM box side (adhesive side).

Connect the connector and install the ECM with 2 nuts.

Torque: 5.5 Nm (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)

4. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM ECU COVER
Install the ECM cover with the 3 bolts.
