CENTER STOP LAMP ASSY
REPLACEMENT
1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSIST GRIP
2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR COVER
3. REMOVE CENTER STOP LAMP ASSY
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the tape.
c. Remove the 2 nuts.
d. Apply protective tape to the body.
e. Using a heat light, heat the center stop lamp assy to 40 - 60 °C (104 - 140 °F).
NOTE: Do not heat the center stop lamp assy excessively.
f. Tie both piano wire ends to wooden blocks or similar objects.
g. Cut the double stick tape by pulling the piano wire as shown in the illustration.
NOTE:
- If reusing the center stop lamp assy, take care not to damage the center stop lamp assy.
- Do not damage the body.
h. Remove the center stop lamp assy.
4. INSTALL CENTER STOP LAMP ASSY
a. Using a heat light, heat the body mounting surface 40 - 60 °C (104 - 140 °F).
NOTE: Do not heat the body excessively.
b. Remove the double stick tape from body.
c. Wipe off stains with cleaner.
d. Using a heat light, heat the center stop lamp assy to 20 - 30 °C (68 - 86 °F).
NOTE: Do not heat the center stop lamp assy excessively.
e. Remove the double stick tape from center stop lamp assy.
f. Wipe off stains with cleaner.
g. Apply new double stick tape to the center stop lamp assy as shown in the illustration.
h. Using a heat light, heat the body and center stop lamp assy.
Body: 40 - 60 °C (104 - 140 °F)
Center stop lamp assy: 20 - 30 °C (68 - 86 °F)
NOTE: Do not heat the body and center stop lamp assy excessively.
i. Install the center stop lamp assy with the 2 nuts.
