Without Scan Tool

a. Inspect the battery positive voltage.
Battery positive voltage: 10 - 14 V

b. Perform visual check.
c. Check the warning light.

1. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and check that the tire pressure warning light goes on for 3 sec.

HINT: If the check result is not normal, proceed to troubleshooting for the tire pressure warning light circuit.




d. In case of not using the LEXUS hand-held tester:
Check the DTC:

1. Using SST, connect terminals TC and CG of DLC3.
SST 09843-18040

2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
3. Read the DTC from the tire pressure warning light on the combination meter.

HINT:
- If no code appears, inspect the TC circuit.

- As an example, the blinking patterns for the normal code and codes 16 and 56 are shown.
4. Reference to the code table.

If 2 or more fault codes are detected at the same time, DTC will be displayed in order of increasing number.




5. After the check, turn the ignition switch OFF, and remove the SST from DLC3.
