DOOR CONTROL TRANSMITTER ASSEMBLY

REPLACEMENT

HINT: Installation is in the reverse order of removal. But, the installation is indicated only when it has a point.

1. REMOVE DOOR CONTROL TRANSMITTER ASSEMBLY

CAUTION: Special caution should be taken for handling each component as they are precise electronic components.

a. Using a screwdriver, remove the screw and cover.

CAUTION: Do not pry out the cover forcibly.

HINT: Push the cover with a finger as shown in the illustration, so that there becomes clearance, then pry out the cover from that clearance.

b. Remove the transmitter assembly.

2. REGISTRATION OF RECOGNITION CODE (use LEXUS Hand-Held Tester)

HINT:
- The add mode is used to retain codes already registered while registering new recognition codes. This mode is used to add a new transmitter. If the number of registered codes exceeds 4, previously registered codes will be correspondingly erased in order, starting from the first registered code.
- The rewrite mode is used to erase all the previously registered codes but register only new recognition codes. This mode is used to exchange the transmitter or the door control receiver with new one.
- The prohibition mode is used to erase all the registered codes and cancels the wireless door lock function. Use this mode when the transmitter is lost.
- The confirmation mode is for confirming how many recognition codes have already been registered before an additional registration of the recognition codes.

a. Turn the ignition switch ON.
b. Select a mode according to the display of LEXUS hand-held tester.
c. Registration of transmitter.
1. Press the LOCK switch and UNLOCK switch of the transmitter simultaneously (within 1 second) after the selection of the add mode or the rewrite mode.
2. Press a switch of the transmitter within 3 seconds once again.

HINT:
- When the registration has completed, the wireless door lock buzzer sounds once.
- The number of recognition codes that can be registered is up to 4.

d. Completion of registration mode (even when only one recognition code has been registered).
1. LEXUS hand-held tester demands the completion.
2. Connection with LEXUS hand-held tester has a cut.
3. 30 seconds have elapsed under the condition of an input of the registration mode being ready.
4. 4 types of recognition codes have been registered at once.

3. REGISTRATION OF RECOGNITION CODE (not using LEXUS Hand-Held Tester)

- In the confirmation mode, if the number of the registration code is 0, the ON-LOCK operation is automatically performed 5 times.
- If the number of the ON-LOCK operation of the ignition switch is 4 or 6 or more, the operation will finish without any signs.

c. Registration of transmitter.
1. Within 40 seconds after the add mode or the rewrite mode has been selected, simultaneously press the LOCK and UNLOCK switches twice.

NOTE: Keep pressing the switches for 1 second or more per one switch operation, and for the second switch operation press them within 3 seconds after the first switch operation.

HINT: In the confirmation mode in the illustration, when the operation is performed twice, it directs that 2 types of recognition code have been registered.

HINT: If the prohibition mode or confirmation mode is selected, registration of recognition code will finish.

2. Within 3 seconds after the transmitter switch has been turned OFF, the LOCK-UNLOCK operation will be automatically performed once if the registration of the recognition code of the transmitter has completed correctly.
