Quarter Window Glass: Adjustments
QUARTER WINDOW ASSEMBLY RH - ADJUSTMENT1. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
a. Pull up the front portion of the seat cushion assembly, then remove it.
NOTE: In the case, hold the base of the clip up to prevent the cushion frame from being distorted.
2. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST PLATE COVER
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the rear seat headrest plate cover.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Use the same manner described above to the other side.
3. REMOVE WIND DEFLECTOR BOARD ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 4 bolts and wind deflector board assembly.
4. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST PLATE
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the rear seat headrest plate.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Use the same manner described above to the other side.
5. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 2 nuts and rear seat headrest assembly.
b. Use the same manner described above to the other side.
6. REMOVE REAR SEAT BACK ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 2 nuts, 2 bolts and rear seat back assembly.
7. REMOVE DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY RH
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the door scuff plate RH.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
8. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY FRONT RH
a. Using a screwdriver, release the 4 claws and remove the front seat outer belt garnish.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Remove the 6 screws and clip.
c. Disengage the 4 clips, then remove the quarter trim panel RH.
9. ADJUST QUARTER WINDOW ASSEMBLY RH
a. Adjust the upper part of the glass inward/outward.
1. Loosen the 2 bolts on the the quarter window assembly.
2. Using a hexagon wrench, turn the bolt for adjustment.
b. Adjust the lower part of the glass inward / outward.
1. Loosen the 2 bolts on the quarter window assembly.
2. Insert the shim to adjust the glass position (inside / outside).
c. When the window is fully closed, adjustment the vertical position of the glass.
1. Loosen the 3 bolts on the glass for adjustment.
Vertical position: ± 3 mm (± 0.12 in.)
Horizontal position: ± 5 mm (± 0.20 in.)
2. Only when the adjustment is not sufficient at (1), change the position of the door window upper stop for further adjustment.
HINT:
- When the glass raised, it should reach the 2 upper stops simultaneously.
- Manually close the quarter window assembly.
10. INSTALL QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY FRONT RH
11. INSTALL DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY RH
12. INSTALL REAR SEAT BACK ASSEMBLY
Torque:
Bolt: 18 N.m (184 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf)
Nut: 7.0 N.m (71 kgf.cm, 63 in.lbf)
