Cylinder Head Cover Gasket No. 2
REPLACEMENT1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER
2. REMOVE OIL LEVEL GAUGE GUIDE
3. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL FILLER TUBE SUB-ASSY
4. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSY
5. REMOVE CYLINDER HEAD COVER SUB-ASSY LH
a. Remove the bolt, and disconnect the wire clamp bracket from the camshaft bearing cap.
b. Remove the 9 bolts, 9 seal washers and cylinder head cover.
6. REMOVE CYLINDER HEAD COVER GASKET NO.2
7. INSTALL CYLINDER HEAD COVER SUB-ASSY LH
a. Apply seal packing to the cylinder heads as shown in the illustration.
Seal packing: Part No. 08826-00080 or equivalent
NOTICE:
- Remove any oil from the contact surface.
- Install the oil pan within 5 minutes after applying seal packing.
- Do not start the engine within 2 hours after installing.
b. Install the gasket to the cylinder head cover.
c. Install the seal washer to the bolt.
d. Install the cylinder head cover with the 9 bolts. Uniformly tighten the bolts in several passes.
Torque: 6.0 Nm (60 kgf-cm, 53 inch lbs.)
e. Install the wire clamp bracket on the engine wire to the camshaft bearing cap.
8. INSTALL IGNITION COIL ASSY
Torque: 7.5 Nm (80 kgf-cm, 66 inch lbs.)
9. INSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL FILLER TUBE SUB ASSY
a. Install a new O-ring to the dipstick guide.
b. Apply soapy water to the O-ring.
c. Connect the dipstick guide end to the dipstick tube of the oil pan.
d. Install the dipstick guide with the bolt.
e. Install the dipstick.
Torque: 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft. lbs.)
10. INSTALL OIL LEVEL GAUGE GUIDE
a. Install a new O-ring to the dipstick guide.
b. Apply soapy water to the O-ring.
c. Connect the dipstick guide end to the dipstick tube of the oil pan.
d. Install the dipstick guide with the bolt.
e. Install the dipstick.
Torque: 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft. lbs.)
