Thermostat: Service and Repair
REPLACEMENT1. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET NO.1
2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
3. REMOVE THERMOSTAT
4. INSTALL THERMOSTAT
a. Install a new gasket to the thermostat.
b. Insert the thermostat as shown in the illustration.
c. Install the water inlet with the 3 nuts.
Torque: 19 Nm (195 kgf-cm, 14 ft. lbs.)
5. ADD ENGINE COOLANT
6. CHECK ENGINE COOLANT LEAK
7. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET NO.1
