Introduction





Some owners of 2002-2003 model year ES 300 vehicles may complain of increased effort to confirm the position of the combination meter gauge needles in direct sunlight. An alternate combination meter has been developed to minimize this occurrence for those customers who experience the condition.

This repair is covered under the Lexus Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's In-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.

1. Please order the combination meter as described in the Parts Information section.

2. Remove and replace the combination meter as stated in the 2002 or 2003 ES 300 Repair Manual, Volume 2, Section 71, Instrument Panel/Meter.
