SQUEAK AND RATTLE SERVICE TIPS


The following repair procedures have been developed to help reduce potential squeak and rattle noises from the interior of the vehicle.

APPLICABLE VEHICLES: 2002 model year ES300 vehicles.

Squeak and Rattle Locations:

REPAIR PROCEDURE:







1. To help eliminate an scratching type noise from the rear door panel area, apply silicon spray between the door trim and the division bar as shown.







2. To help eliminate a glove box squeak when opening, apply a felt spacer to the glove compartment door as shown. Install felt directly where glove box light switch contacts glove box compartment door.

NOTE: Assure lubricant does not spray onto door trim. Wipe off the silicon lubricant when lubricant is sprayed onto the door trim.






3. To help reduce the possibility of a creaking type noise when the luggage compartment door is closed, the following procedure has been developed. Apply silicon spray or equivalent to the portions of the luggage compartment door pivot shown. Repeat for opposite side.
