REAR DOOR TRIM PANEL RATTLE







A rattle may be heard during cold weather caused by the foam block behind the rear interior door trim panel. The following repair instructions have been developed.

APPLICABLE VEHICLES: 2002 and 2003 model year ES 300 produced before the VIN shown below.







PRODUCTION CHANGE INFORMATION:







REQUIRED TOOLS & MATERIAL

REPAIR PROCEDURE:







1. Remove the rear interior door trim panel to access the back side of the panel.
- Refer to the 2002 or 2003 ES 300 Repair Manual Volume 2.

2. In the order shown in the diagram below, insert 4 pieces of EPT Sealer between the foam block and rear interior door trim panel.

EPT Sealer:
L: 50 mm
W: 10 mm
T: 5mm







NOTE:
Use a screwdriver to gain clearance between the foam block and rear interior door trim panel.

3. Reinstall the rear interior door trim panel.
4. Confirm corrected condition.
5. If the condition exists on the opposite door, repeat steps 1 - 3.
