Introduction
The following repair procedure has been developed to help eliminate potential rattle noise from the instrument panel meter cluster area. A production change was implemented.

Applicable Warranty*:
This repair is covered under the Lexus Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.

Repair Procedure





1. To eliminate a rattle noise caused by movement of the instrument panel meter cluster, felt must be added as shown in the illustration.

Remove the instrument panel meter cluster. Refer to the Lexus LS 430 Repair Manual Volume 2, pages BO 129-132 for details.

Add felt as indicated:

Length: 50.0 mm
Width: 10.0 mm
Thickness: 0.5 mm

2. Re-assembly is the reverse order of disassembly.
