Removal and Installation






REMOVAL
1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER
2. RELEASE ENGINE ROOM NO. 3 R/B
Remove the 2 bolts and bracket, release the engine room No. 3 R/B.
3. DRAW OUT FLUID WITH SYRINGE
4. DISCONNECT LEVEL WARNING SWITCH CONNECTOR

NOTICE: Do not let brake fluid remain on a painted surface. Wash it off immediately.





5. REMOVE BRAKE LINES
a) Remove the clamp from the 2 brake lines.
b) Using SST, remove the 2 brake lines from the master cylinder.
SST 09751-36011
Torque: 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft. lbs.)
c) Disconnect the brake hose from the reservoir.





6. REMOVE MASTER CYLINDER
a) Remove the 2 nuts.
Torque: 13 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 9 ft. lbs.)
b) Pull out the vacuum check valve bracket and master cylinder from the brake booster.

INSTALLATION
Installation is to be done in the reverse order of removal.

HINT:
^ Before installation, adjust the length of the brake booster push rod.
^ After installation, fill the brake reservoir with brake fluid, bleed the brake system, and check for leaks.
^ Check and adjust the brake pedal.
