Hydraulic Control Assembly - Antilock Brakes: Service and Repair






REMOVAL
1. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET AND AIR CLEANER





2. DISCONNECT BRAKE LINES
Using SST, disconnect the 6 brake lines from the ABS & TRAC actuator.
SST 09023-00100
Torque: 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft. lbs.)
3. DISCONNECT 2 BRAKE HOSES AND 2 CONNECTORS
4. REMOVE ABS & TRAC ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
Remove the nut, 2 bolts and ABS & TRAC actuator assembly.
Torque: 19 Nm (195 kgf-cm, 14 ft. lbs.)
5. REMOVE ABS & TRAC ACTUATOR
a) Remove the 2 nuts and ABS & TRAC actuator from the bracket.
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 inch lbs.)
b) Remove the 2 cushion bolts and 3 cushions.

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

HINT:
^ After installation, fill the brake reservoir with brake fluid, bleed brake system.
^ Check for leaks.
