Disassembly and Reassembly

DISASSEMBLY
1. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS
2. REMOVE BLOWER MOTOR CONTROL RELAY
Remove the 2 screws and blower motor control relay.
3. REMOVE BLOWER MOTOR
Remove the 3 screws and blower motor.
4. REMOVE AIR INLET SERVOMOTOR
a. Disconnect the control link.
b. Remove the 2 screws and servomotor.

5. REMOVE AIR REFINER FILTER
a. Remove the 2 screws and plate.
b. Pull out the filter.

6. REMOVE EVAPORATOR
a. Remove the drain hose.
b. Remove the 4 screws and lower cover.
c. Remove the 5 screws and evaporator cover.
d. Disconnect the evaporator temperature sensor connector clamp.
e. Pull out the evaporator.

HINT: At the time of reassembly, please refer to the following item.

If evaporator is replaced, add compressor oil to evaporator.
Add 40 cc (1.4 fl. oz.) Compressor oil: ND-OIL 8 or equivalent

7. PULL OUT EVAPORATOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR
8. REMOVE EXPANSION VALVE
a. Pry out the packings.

HINT: At the time of reassembly, please refer to the following item.

Do not reuse the packings.

b. Remove the clamp and disconnect the heat sensing tube.
c. Loosen the 2 nuts and remove the expansion valve.

Torque:
19 mm nut: 14 Nm (140 kg.cm, 10 ft.lb)
24 mm nut: 22 Nm (225 kg.cm, 16 ft.lb)

NOTE: Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture or dirt out of the system.

HINT: At the time of reassembly, please refer to the following item.

Lubricate 2 new O-ring with compressor oil and install them to the tubes.

9. REMOVE TUBE AND ACCESSORY
Using a hexagon wrench, remove the 2 bolts and tube and accessory.
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kg.cm, 48 in.lb)

NOTE: Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture or dirt out of the system.

HINT: At the time of installation, please refer to the following item.

Lubricate 2 new O-ring with compressor oil and install them to the tube.

10. REMOVE HEATER RADIATOR
a. Remove the 2 screws and plate.
b. Remove the 2 screws, 2 plates and pull out heater radiator.

11. REMOVE THESE PARTS:
a. Air ducts
b. Net

12. REMOVE AIR MIX SERVOMOTOR
a. Disconnect the control link.
b. Remove the 3 screws and servomotor.

13. REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR
After pulling oft the clamp, pull out the sensor.

14. REMOVE AIR OUTLET SERVOMOTOR
Remove the 3 screws and servomotor.

REASSEMBLY
Reassembly is in the reverse order of disassembly
