CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The park/neutral position switch detects the shift lever position and sends signals to the ECM.

The ECM receives signals (NSW, R, 2 and L) from the park/neutral position
switch. When the signal is not sent to the ECM from the park/neutral position switch, the ECM judges that the shift lever is in D position.




DETECTING CONDITIONS

HINT: After confirming DTC P1780, use the LEXUS hand-held tester to confirm the PNP switch signal from the CURRENT DATA.

HINT: In case of using the LEXUS hand-held tester, start the inspection from step 1 and in case of not using the LEXUS hand-held tester, start from step 2.
