Subject:
"KILOMETERS SINCE REFUEL" DISPLAY RESETTING
Some owners of 1998 - 2000 model year LS400 vehicles may complain of the "Kilometers Since Refuel" function of the Multi Information Display resetting to "0" even though the vehicle had not been refueled. In order to minimize the possibility of this occurrence, a new fuel gauge circuit logic has been adopted. Additionally, the fuel sender may also need to be replaced on some vehicles.
NOTE:
Due to the nature of the design of this system, resetting of this display may occur if the vehicle is parked on a steep incline or decline. This is a normal condition, and will not be impacted by the procedures provided in this bulletin.
