ABS Diagnosis System

Check the DTC.




1. Using SST, connect terminals Tc and E1 of DLC1.
SST 09843-18020
2. Turn the ignition switch ON.

HINT: At this time, "DIAG" is displayed on the multi-information display.

3. Push the function key of the steering switch until "VSC" will be displayed on the multi-information display.




4. Read the DTC from the multi-information display on the combination meter.

HINT:
- At this time, "VSC OK" is displayed when VSC system is in normal condition, and either of the "VSC NG", "VSC E" or "VSC - -" will be displayed until the DTC is read in the ECU when the VSC system is in the malfunction, and after the completion of reading in DTC, "VSC 31", for example, will be displayed.
- If there are 2 or more DTC, the smaller number of DTC will be output first and when the indication of DTC goes through 1 cycle, the "U" mark is displayed at the head of the DTC and displays DTC in a cycle.
- If no code appears, inspect the diagnostic circuit or VSC warning indicator circuit.

6. After completing the check, disconnect terminals Tc and E1, and turn off the display.
