Front Spoiler - Installation Procedure

Title: FRONT SPOILER INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
SC400
Spoiler Kit:
Refer to the procedure below for installation of the front spoiler kit on SC4OO.
1. Safely position and lift vehicle.
- Unlock steering wheel to allow front wheels 10 turn.
2. Remove the left and right side inner fender liners.
(A) Remove the three (3) screws securing the upper fender liner (marked "A").
(B) Remove the two (2) screws securing the fender liner to the bumper (marked "B").
(C) Remove the three (3) screws securing the fender liner and engine under cover (marked "C").
(D) Remove the single (1) screw securing the lower front fender liner to the bumper (marked "D").
(E) Remove the single (1) bolt securing the fender liner to the body (marked "E").
Spoiler End:
3. Install the six (6) nuts at the front left and right sides of the spoiler.
NOTE: Existing clip and screw on right and left side of vehicle will be used for remaining two attachment points of spoiler. An extra 2 clips and screws are included in the kit.
Inserting Spoiler:
4. Insert the front spoiler bolts into the front bumper holes on the left and right sides.
Side Retainer:
5. Install the side retainer over the spoiler bolts. Install and tighten the four (4) nuts from behind the front bumper, while pushing the front spoiler forward, in order to achieve proper alignment with the front and side edges of the bumper.
Lower Certer Retainer:
6. Install the front spoiler lower center retainer and tighten the five (5) bolts starting from the center.
Checking Installation:
7. Check for proper overall appearance & alignment of front spoiler and bumper.
Installing Liners:
8. Reinstall the inner fender liners.
(A) Tighten the one (1) bolt secured to the body.
(B) Tighten the tour (4) screws securing the lower front fender liner to the front spoiler. Three (3) of the screws are supplied with spoiler kit.
(C) Tighten the three (3) screws to the engine under cover.
(D) Tighten the two (2) screws secure to the bumper.
(E) Tighten the three (3) screws securing the upper fender liner.
