Lower

REMOVAL
1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL

Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf.cm, 76 ft.lbs. )

2. REMOVE FRONT BRAKE CALIPER
a. Remove the 2 bolts and brake caliper.

Torque: 118 Nm (1,200 kgf.cm, 87 ft.lbs. )

b. Support the brake caliper securely.
3. DISCONNECT ABS SPEED SENSOR AND WIRE HARNESS
Remove the 2 bolts, ABS speed sensor and wire harness.

NOTICE: When removing the right side, do not disconnect the pad wear indicator connector.

Torque: 7.8 Nm (80 kgf.cm, 69 inch lbs.)





4. DISCONNECT TIE ROD END FROM LOWER BALL JOINT
a. Remove the clip and nut from the tie rod end.
Torque: 59 Nm (600 kgf.cm, 43 ft.lbs. )

b. Using SST, disconnect the tie rod end from the steering knuckle.

5. DISCONNECT LOWER BALL JOINT FROM LOWER SUSPENSION ARM
a. Remove the cotter pin and nut from the lower ball joint.

Torque: 152 Nm (1,550 kgf.cm, 112 ft.lbs. )

b. Using SST, remove the lower ball joint from the lower suspension arm.

6. REMOVE STEERING KNUCKLE WITH LOWER BALL JOINT
a. Remove the clip and nut.

Torque: 65 Nm (660 kgf.cm, 48 ft.lbs. )

b. Using SST, disconnect the steering knuckle from the upper ball joint.

c. Remove the steering knuckle with lower ball joint.
7. COIL SUSPENSION: REMOVE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER
8. AIR SUSPENSION: REMOVE FRONT PNEUMATIC CYLINDER





9. REMOVE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER LOWER BRACKET

Torque:
A: 59 Nm (600 kgf.cm, 43 ft.lbs. )
B: 113 Nm (1,150 kgf.cm, 83 ft.lbs. )






10. DISCONNECT STRUT BAR FROM LOWER SUSPENSION ARM
Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the strut bar from the lower suspension arm.

Torque: 164 Nm (1,670 kgf.cm, 121 ft.lbs. )





11. REMOVE LOWER SUSPENSION ARM
a. Remove the 2 nuts and suspension member brace.

Torque: 39 Nm (400 kgf.cm, 29 ft.lbs. )

b. Place matchmarks on the camber adjusting cam.
c. Remove the nut, adjusting cam and lower suspension arm.

Torque: 251 Nm (2,560 kgf.cm, 185 ft.lbs. )

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
AFTER INSTALLATION, CHECK ABS SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL AND FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
