Removal
NOTE:- If the wiring connector of the SRS is disconnected and the ignition switch is in ON or ACC position, DTCs will be recorded.
- Never use the airbag parts from another vehicle. When replacing parts, replace them with new parts.
1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT FLOOR ANCHOR
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the seat belt anchor cover cap.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Remove the front seat outer belt floor anchor.
2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the 4 seat track covers
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Remove the 4 bolts, then disconnect the airbag connector.
NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
c. Remove the front seat.
3. REMOVE SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY WIRE HARNESS
a. Remove the connector from the bracket.
b. Remove the 5 clamps and wire harness from the seat cushion frame
4. REMOVE THESE PARTS:
a. Power seat switch knobs
b. Front seat cushion shield
c. Front seat inner shield
d. Seat cushion assembly
e. Reclining adjuster inside cover LH
f. Front seatback board
g. Seatback assembly
5. REMOVE SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the clamp.
b. Remove the hook.
c. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 hooks.
d. Remove the 2 nuts and side airbag assembly.
CAUTION:
- Do not store the side airbag assembly with the airbag deployment side facing down.
- Never disassemble the side airbag assembly.
