Hood Sensor/Switch (For Alarm): Testing and Inspection

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The hood courtesy switch is built into the engine hood lock assembly and goes on when the engine hood is opened and goes off when the engine hood is closed.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT: In case of using the LEXUS hand-held tester, start the inspection from step 1 and in case of not using the LEXUS hand-held tester, start from step 2.








INSPECT ENGINE HOOD COURTESY SWITCH CONTINUITY
If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.
