Removal and Installation





REMOVAL
1. Remove the No.1 and No.2 engine under covers.
Remove the bolts and screws.
2. Remove air cleaner assembly.
a. Disconnect the Mass Air Flow (MAF) meter connector.
b. Loosen the clamp.
c. Remove the 4 bolts.





3. Remove drive belt.
Loosen the drive belt tension by turning the drive belt tensioner counterclockwise, and remove the drive belt.
4. Remove pressure and return hoses.
Remove the 4 clips.
5. Remove pressure feed tube.
Remove the union bolt and gasket.
6. Remove oil reservoir.
a. Remove the 7 bolts and stay with the reservoir.
b. Remove the 3 bolts from the stay.
7. Remove power steering vane pump assembly.
Remove the 2 bolts and the nut.

INSTALLATION
1. Install power steering vane pump assembly.
Torque the 2 bolts and nut on the pump assembly.
Torque:
Bolt: 39 Nm (29 ft. lbs.).
Nut: 43 Nm (32 ft. lbs.)

2. Install oil reservoir.
a. Install the reservoir to the stay with the 3 bolts.
b. Tighten the 7 bolts and install the stay with the reservoir.





3. Install pressure feed tube.
Torque the union bolt with a new gasket.

HINT: Make sure the stopper of the tube is touching the pump housing. as shown, then torque the union bolt over a new gasket.

Torque: 49 Nm (36 ft. lbs.)
4. Install pressure and return hoses.
Install the 4 clips.





5. Install drive belt.
Loosen the drive belt tensioner by turning the drive belt tensioner counterclockwise, and install the belt.
6. Install air cleaner assembly.
a. Tighten the 4 bolts.
b. Tighten the clamp.
c. Connect the MAF meter connector.
7. Install No.1 and No.2 engine under covers.
Tighten the bolts and screws.
