Upper






REMOVAL
1. Coil suspension:
Remove front shock absorber.
2. Air suspension:
Remove front pneumatic cylinder.
3. Remove upper suspension arm.
a. Remove the bolt and disconnect the ABS speed sensor wire harness from the upper suspension arm.





b. Remove the 2 bolts and the upper suspension arm.
Torque: 113 Nm (83 ft. lbs.)

INSPECTION





Inspect ball joint for rotation condition.
a. Flip the ball joint stud back and forth 5 times before installing the nut.
b. Using a torque wrench, turn the nut continuously one turn every 2 - 4 seconds and take the torque reading on the 5th turn.
Torque (turning): 1.0 - 3.4 Nm (9 - 30 inch lbs.)

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal, after installation, check the ABS speed sensor signal and front wheel alignment.
