Lower






REMOVAL
1. Remove front wheel.
Torque: 103 Nm (76 ft. lbs.)
2. Remove front brake caliper.
a. Remove the 2 bolts and brake caliper.
Torque: 118 Nm (87 ft. lbs.)
b. Support the brake caliper securely.
3. Disconnect ABS speed sensor and wire harness.
Remove the 2 bolts, ABS speed sensor and wire harness.

NOTICE: Do not disconnect the RH pad wear indicator connector.

Torque: 7.8 Nm (69 inch lbs.)
4. Disconnect tie rod end from lower ball joint.
a. Remove the clip and nut from the tie rod end.
Torque: 59 Nm (43 ft. lbs.)





b. Using Special Service Tool (SST) 09610 - 20012, or equivalent, disconnect the tie rod end from the steering knuckle.
5. Disconnect lower ball joint from lower suspension arm.
a. Remove the cotter pin and nut from the lower ball joint.
Torque: 152 Nm (112 ft. lbs.)





b. Using SST 09628 - 62011, or equivalent, remove the lower ball joint from the lower suspension arm.
6. Remove steering knuckle and lower ball joint.
a. Remove the clip and nut.
Torque: 65 Nm (48 ft. lbs.)
b. Using SST 09610 - 20012, disconnect the steering knuckle from the upper ball joint.
c. Remove the steering knuckle with lower ball joint.
7. Coil suspension:
Remove front shock absorber.
8. Air suspension:
Remove front pneumatic cylinder.





9. Remove front shock absorber lower bracket.
Torque:
- A: 59 Nm (43 ft. lbs.)
- B: 113 Nm (83 ft. lbs.)





10. Disconnect strut bar from lower suspension arm.
Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the strut bar from the lower suspension arm.
Torque: 164 Nm (121 ft. lbs.)





11. Remove lower suspension arm.
a. Remove the 2 nuts and suspension member brace.
Torque: 39 Nm (29 ft. lbs.)
b. Place matchmarks on the camber adjusting cam.
c. Remove the nut, adjusting cam and lower suspension arm.
Torque to 251 Nm (185 ft. lbs.)

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal, being sure to check ABS speed sensor signal and front wheel alignment.
