DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM





(a) Check the indication
When the ignition switch is turned ON, check that the VSC OFF indicator light and SLIP indicator light goes on for 3 seconds.

HINT:
- If the ECU stores DTC, "CHECK VSC" displays on the multi-information display and VSC OFF indicator light is on.
- If the indicator check result is not normal, proceed to troubleshooting for the VSC warning indicator circuit, VSC OFF indicator light circuit or SLIP indicator light circuit.

(b) In case of not using LEXUS hand-held tester: Check the DTC





(1) Using SST connect terminals Tc and E1 of DLC1. SST 09843-18020
(2) Turn the ignition switch ON.

HINT: At this time, "DIAG" is displayed on the multi-information display.

(3) Push the function key of the steering switch until "VSC" will be displayed on the multi-information display.
(4) Read the DTC from the multi-information display on the combination meter.

HINT:





- At this time, "VSC OK" is displayed when VSC system is in normal condition, and either of the "VSC NG", "VSC ET" or "VSC --" will be displayed until the DTC is read in the ECU when the VSC system is in the malfunction, and after the completion of reading in DTC, "VSC 31", for example, will be displayed.
- If there are 2 or more DTC, the smaller number of DTC will be- output first and when the indication of DTC goes through 1 cycle, the "^" mark is displayed at the head of the DTC and displays DTC in a cycle.
- If no code appears, inspect the diagnostic circuit or VSC warning indicator circuit.

(6) After completing the check, disconnect terminals Tc and E1, and turn off the display.
