Removal and Installation






REMOVAL
1. Remove front wheel.
Torque: 103 Nm (76 ft. lbs.)





1. Remove brake caliper.
a. Remove the 2 bolts and caliper from the steering.
Torque: 118 Nm (87 ft. lbs.)
b. Support the brake caliper securely.
3. Disconnect ABS speed sensor and wire harness.
a. Remove the bolt and ABS speed sensor.
Torque: 7.8 Nm (69 inch lbs.)
b. Remove the bolt and ABS speed sensor wire harness.
Torque: 5.0 Nm (48 inch lbs.)
4. Disconnect upper suspension arm steering knuckle.
a. Remove the clip and nut.
Torque: 87 Nm (64 ft. lbs.)





b. Using Special Service Tool (SST) 09610-20012 or equivalent, disconnect the upper suspension arm from the steering knuckle.





5. Disconnect stabilizer bar from stabilizer bar link.
Remove the bolt and nut, and disconnect the stabilizer bar from the stabilizer bar link.
Torque: 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs.)
6. Remove front shock absorber.





a. Remove the bolt and nut, and disconnect the shock absorber from the shock absorber bracket.
Torque: 157 Nm (116 ft. lbs.)

HINT: At the time of installation, after stabilizing the suspension, torque the bolt.





b. Loosen the piston rod lock nut.

NOTICE: Do not remove it.

Torque: 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.)
c. Remove the 3 nuts and shock absorber and suspension support No.1 from the body.
Torque: 56 Nm (41 ft. lbs.)

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order or removal. After installation, check ABS speed sensor signal and front wheel alignment.
