Seals and Gaskets: Service and Repair

REPLACEMENT
1. Remove propeller shaft.
2. Remove rear oil seal.





NOTICE: Clean the extension housing before removing the oil seal. Using Special Service Tool (SST) 09308-10010 or equivalent, remove the oil seal.

3. Install new oil seal, as follows:





a. Using SST 09325-40010 or equivalent, and a hammer, carefully drive the oil seal in as far as it will go.
b. Coat the lip of a new oil seal with Multi-Purpose (MP) grease.
4. Install propeller shaft.
5. Check fluid level.
