Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair





PRESSURE SWITCH REMOVAL
1. DISCHARGE REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERANT SYSTEM
Discharging & Evacuating System

INSTALLATION HINT: Evacuate air from refrigeration system.

Charge system with refrigerant and inspect for leakage of refrigerant.
Specified amount:
950 ± 50 g (33.51 ± 1.76 oz.)

2. REMOVE PRESSURE SWITCH
(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Remove the pressure switch from the liquid tube.
Torque: 10 N.m (100 kgf-cm, 7 ft.lbf)

INSTALLATION HINT: Lubricate a new O-rings with compressor oil and install the switch.

HINT: Lock the switch mount on the tube with an open end wrench, being careful not to deform the tube and remove the switch.

PRESSURE SWITCH INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
