Idler Pulley

REMOVAL
1. Remove the Timing Belt, refer to Timing Components.





2. Using a suitable 10 mm hexagon wrench, remove the pivot bolt, plate washer and idler pulley.

INSTALLATION






1. Apply LOCTITE 242, or equivalent, adhesive to 2 or 3 threads of the pivot bolt.
2. Using a suitable 10 mm hexagon wrench, install the plate washer and pulley with the pivot bolt, tighten to 34 Nm (350 kg. cm., 25 ft. lbs.).
3. Check that the pulley bracket moves smoothly.
