Removal and Installation
REMOVAL
1. Remove front wheel.
Installation Hint: Torque to 103 Nm (76 ft. lbs.)
2. Disconnect steering knuckle from upper ball joint.
a. Remove the clip and nut.
Installation Hint: Torque to 65 Nm (48 ft. lbs.)
b. Using SST 09610 - 20012, disconnect the steering knuckle from the upper ball joint.
c. Support the steering knuckle securely.
3. Disconnect shock absorber from shock absorber lower bracket. Remove the bolt and nut.
Installation Hint: After stabilizing the suspension, torque the bolt to 157 Nm (116 ft. lbs.).
4. Remove shock absorber with coil spring.
a. Remove the plug from the suspension support.
b. Loosen the suspension support center nut.
NOTICE: Do not remove the nut.
Installation Hint: Torque to 28 Nm (20 ft. lbs.)
c. Remove the 3 nuts and shock absorber with coil spring.
Installation Hint: Torque to 58 Nm (43 ft. lbs.)
INSTALLATION
^ Installation is in the reverse order of removal. Being sure to check the front wheel alignment.
