Removal and Installation

REMOVAL
1. Remove oil pan protector.
2. Remove engine under cover.
3. Drain engine coolant.
4. Remove battery clamp cover.
5. Remove air cleaner inlet.
6. Remove radiator reservoir hose.
7. Disconnect the following hoses from the radiator:
- Upper radiator hose.
- Lower radiator hose.
- 2 A/T oil cooler hoses.




8. Remove the two No.2 fan shroud clips, disconnect the claw of the No.2 fan shroud from the hook of the No.1 fan shroud, and remove the No.2 fan shroud.
9. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) switch connector for the A/C cooling fan.




10. Disconnect the upper sides of the RH and LH cool air ducts.
11. Remove the nut and upper radiator support.
12. Remove the two upper radiator supports. Lift out the radiator assembly.
13. Remove the two lower radiator supports from the radiator.




14. Remove the four bolts from the No.1 fan shroud, then the fan shroud from radiator.

INSTALLATION
1. Install the No.1 fan shroud with the four bolts, tighten to 5.0 Nm (50 kg.cm, 44 ft.lb).
2. Install the two lower radiator supports to the radiator.
3. Place the radiator assembly on the body bracket.
4. Install the radiator with the two upper radiator supports and two nuts, tighten to 13.5 Nm (135 kg.cm, 10 ft.lb).
5. Install the upper sides of the RH and LH cool air ducts.
6. Connect the ECT switch connector for the A/C cooling fan.




NOTE: After installation, check that the rubber cushion (A) of the support is depressed.

7. Connect the claw of the No.2 fan shroud to the hook of the No.1 fan shroud.
8. Install the No.2 fan shroud with the two clips.
9. Connect the following hoses to radiator:
- Upper radiator hose.
- Lower radiator hose.
- Two A/T oil cooler hoses.

10. Install radiator reservoir hose.
11. Fill with engine coolant.
12. Start engine and check for leaks.
13. Recheck engine coolant level.
14. Install air cleaner inlet.
15. Install battery clamp cover.
16. Install engine under cover.
17. Install oil pan protector.
