Introduction
To prevent overheating of the transmission when towing a weight of more than 1,000 pounds, a transmission oil cooler should be installed. The transmission oil cooler and required hardware for installation are available through normal parts supply.

Towing Capacity
Up to 2,000 pounds (with transmission cooler installed).

Affected Vehicles
1997 ES 3OOs with A541E Automatic Transmissions.
