Installation






1. Install the pressure feed tube and do the following.
a. Tighten the union bolt with a new gasket.





NOTE: Make sure the stopper of the tube is touching the front bracket, as shown, then tighten the union bolt to 52 Nm (38 ft. lbs).

b. Install the oil pressure switch to the union bolt, tightening it to 21 Nm (15 ft.lbs.).





2. Install the power steering vane pump assembly with the pressure feed tube and temporarily tighten the two (A and B) bolts.
3. Install the drive belt and do the following.
a. Adjust drive belt tension.





b. Using the 09249 - 63010 SST, tighten the A bolt to 29 Nm (21 ft.lbs.).

NOTE:
^ Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.81 inch).
^ Disconnect the clamp with engine wire.

c. Tighten the B bolt to 43 Nm (32 ft.lbs.).
d. Connect the connector to the oil pressure switch.
4. Connect the pressure feed tube by performing the following.





a. Using the 09631-22020 SST, connect the tube, tightening it to 20 Nm (15 ft.lbs.).

NOTE:
^ Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.81 inch).
^ This torque value is effective in case that SST is parallel to a torque wrench.

b. Install the two clamp plates and two holders to the tube.
c. Tighten the bolt.
d. Install the two clamp plate set nuts, tightening them to 7.8 Nm (69 in.lbs.).
5. Connect the return hose.
6. Install the right hand front fender apron seal, then tighten the two bolts.
7. Bleed the power steering system.
