Condenser Fan: Service and Repair
COMPONENTS
REMOVAL
1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT FROM RADIATOR
REMOVAL HINT: It is not necessary to drain out all the coolant.
2. DISCONNECT UPPER RADIATOR HOSE FROM RADIATOR
3. REMOVE CONDENSER FAN
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the 3 bolts and fan.
DISASSEMBLY
1. REMOVE FAN
Remove the clip and fan.
NOTE: When removing the clip and fan, do not apply too much force to the motor shaft. And do not scratch the motor shaft.
REASSEMBLY HINT: Install a new clip from the side opposite the protrusion on the fan.
2. REMOVE FAN MOTOR
a. Disconnect the lead wire from the fan shroud.
b. Remove the 3 screws and fan motor.
REASSEMBLY
Reassembly is in the reverse order of disassembly.
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
