No.2 Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Switch

REMOVAL




1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT FROM RADIATOR

REMOVAL HINT: It is not necessary to drain out all the coolant.

2. REMOVE ETC SWITCH

INSTALLATION HINT: Lubricate a new O-ring with LLC and install the switch.

INSPECTION

INSPECT SWITCH CONTINUITY
a. Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity between terminal and switch body when the coolant temperature is above 93° C(199° F).

b. Using an ohmmeter, check that there is no continuity between the terminal and switch body when the coolant temperature is below 83° C (181° F).
If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.

INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
