Parking Brake System: Description and Operation

Parking Brake Components:

DESCRIPTION
The parking brake is a cable operated drum brake which operates separately from the rear disc brake assembly. It consists of a small pair of brake shoes, adjuster screw and cable operated lever.

OPERATION
The cable operated lever forces the shoes outward against the inside diameter of the rear brake disc when the parking brake is applied.
