Injectors Installation

1. INSTALL INJECTORS AND DELIVERY PIPE.
- Install a new grommet to each injector.
- Apply a light coat of gasoline to a new O-ring and install it to each injector.





- While turning the injector clockwise and counter- clockwise, push it to the delivery pipes.
- Install the 8 injectors.
- Position the injector connector outward.





- Place these parts on the intake manifold:
(1) 8 new insulators
(2) 4 spacers
- Place the 8 injectors and 2 delivery pipes assembly in position on the intake manifold.
- Temporarily install the 2 connector brackets and 4 mounting bolts.
- Check that the injectors rotate smoothly.

HINT:
- If injectors do not rotate smoothly, the probable cause is incorrect installation of O-rings.
- Replace the O - rings.





- Position the injector connector outward.
- Tighten the 4 bolts holding the delivery pipes to the intake manifold.

Torque: 18 N.m (185 kgf.cm. 13 ft.lb.)






2. CONNECT ENGINE WIRE TO DELIVERY PIPES.
- Connect the 4 injector connectors.
- Connect these parts to the bracket on the LH delivery pipe:
- DLC1
- 2 engine wire connectors
- Engine wire clamp
- Connect the 4 injector connectors.
- Connect the engine wire protector to the RH delivery pipe with the 2 bolts.
3. CONNECT FUEL RETURN HOSE AND VACUUM SENSING HOSE TO PRESSURE REGULATOR.




4. CONNECT FUEL INLET HOSE TO LH DELIVERY PIPE.





5. INSTALL AIR INTAKE CHAMBER ASSEMBLY.





6. INSTALL V-BANK COVER.
7. CHECK FOR FUEL LEAKS.
