Removal
1. Refer to Fig. 23 when replacing strut rod.
2. On models with air suspension, move height control switch in luggage compartment to Off position, Fig. 24.
3. Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel and tire assembly.
4. Disconnect strut rod from axle carrier.
5. Disconnect strut rod from body.

Installation
1. Temporarily install strut rod to axle carrier.
2. Using a jack, raise axle carrier, then temporarily install strut rod to body.
3. Install wheel and tire assembly, then lower vehicle and bounce up and down several times to stabilize suspension.
4. Raise and support vehicle with vehicle weight still on suspension, then remove wheel and tire assembly.
5. Torque both strut rod mounting bolts to specification, then install wheel and tire assembly and torque to specifications.
6. Check rear wheel alignment.
