Seat Belt Height Adjuster: Description and Operation

The current is always applied to TERMINAL ECUB of tilt and telescopic ECU through the SEC HORN fuse. At the same time, the current also flows from PWR fuse to TERMINAL +B of tilt and telescopic ECU.

The current is always applied to TERMINAL 4 of power shoulder belt anchor relay through the FUEL OPN fuse.

When the ignition SW is turned ON, the current flows to TERMINAL IG of tilt and telescopic ECU through the GAUGE fuse.

POWER SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR OPERATION (FOR DRIVER'S SIDE)
When the shoulder belt adjust SW LH of the driving position memory and return SW is pushed to the down side the driver door ECU operates, the tilt and telescopic ECU operates and the current to TERMINAL +B of ECU flows from TERMINAL BEM- of ECU --> TERMINAL 1 of shoulder belt anchor motor --> motor --> TERMINAL 4 --> TERMINAL BEM+ of tilt and telescopic ECU --> TERMINAL GND --> GROUND, rotating the shoulder belt anchor motor so that the shoulder belt anchorage moves downward while the shoulder belt adjust SW LH is pushed to the down side.

For UP operation, pushing the shoulder belt adjust SW LH to the UP side activates the driver door ECU, the tilt and telescopic ECU operates and the current to TERMINAL +B of ECU flows from TERMINAL BEM+ of ECU --> TERMINAL 4 of shoulder belt anchor motor -->motor--> TERMINAL 1 of shoulder belt anchor motor --> TERMINAL BEM- of ECU --> TERMINAL GND --> GROUND, rotating the shoulder belt anchor motor so that the shoulder belt anchorage moves upward while the shoulder belt adjust SW LH is pushed to the UP side.

The amount of movement of the power shoulder belt anchorage, which is driven by the motor, is detected by the position sensor and the signal is input to the ECU, making it possible to perform memory and return functions for the shoulder belt anchorage position using the driving position memory and return SW.
