Valve Body Removal

VALVE BODY REMOVAL
1. REMOVE DRAIN PLUG AND DRAIN ATF

Torque: 20 N.m (205 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lb.)

2. REMOVE OIL PAN

REMOVAL NOTICE: Some fluid will remain in the oil pan.

- Remove the 1 9 bolts.

Torque: 7.4 N.m (75 kgf.cm, 65 in..lb.)




- Install the blade of SST between the transmission case and oil pan, cut off applied sealer, and remove the oil pan.

REMOVAL NOTICE: When removing the oil pan, be careful not to damage the oil pan flange.




INSTALLATION HINT:
- Install the 3 magnets in the indentations of the oil pan, as shown in the illustration.
- After removing all the old FIPG on the contacting surfaces of the oil pan and transmission case, apply new FIPG to the oil pan.

FIPG: Part No. 08826-00090, THREE BOND 1281 or equivalent




3. REMOVE OIL STRAINER
- Remove the 3 bolts, and the oil strainer and 3 gaskets.

Torque: 10 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lb.)

INSTALLATION HINT: Replace used gaskets with new ones.




4. DISCONNECT 6 SOLENOID CONNECTORS




5. DISCONNECT ATF TEMPERATURE SENSOR FROM 2 BRACKETS
6. DISCONNECT SOLENOID WIRES FROM 2 BRACKETS
7. REMOVE VALVE BODY
- Remove the 3 bolts and 2 solenoid wire brackets.




- Remove the 19 bolts.

Torque: 10 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lb.)

Bolt length:
Bolt A: 36 mm (1.42 in.)
Bolt B: 28 mm (1.10 in.)
Bolt C: 23 mm (0.91 in.)
Bolt D: 55 mm (2.17 in.)

- Remove the valve body.




8. REMOVE CHECK BALL BODY

REMOVAL NOTICE: Be careful not to drop the check ball body and spring.




9. REMOVE 6 SOLENOID VALVES
- Remove the solenoid valve No.1 mounting bolt.

Torque: 10 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lb.)

- Remove the solenoid valve No.1.
- Remove the O-ring from the solenoid valve No.1.

INSTALLATION HINT: Replace used O-ring with a new one.




- Remove the solenoid valve No.2 and No.3 mounting bolt.

Torque: 10 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lb.)

- Remove the solenoid valve No.2 and No.3.
- Remove the O-ring from the solenoid valve No.2 and No.3.

INSTALLATION HINT: Replace used O-rings with new ones.




- Remove the bolt and lock plate.

Torque: 6.4 N.m (65 kgf.cm, 56 in..lb.)

- Remove the solenoid valve SLN.




INSTALLATION HINT:
- When installing the shift solenoid valve SLN, insert the solenoid into the body as shown in A.
- Fit the clamp with the groove of the solenoid and temporally tighten the bolt.
- Tighten the bolt while pressing the clamp point C against the solenoid as shown in B (at this time the clamp comes up).




- Remove the 2 bolts and lock plates.

Torque: 6.4 N.m (65 kgf.cm, 56 in..lb.)

- Remove the solenoid valve SLT and SLU.

VALVE BODY INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION HINT: Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

INSTALLATION HINT: After installation, fill ATF and check the fluid level.
