Removal and Installation

FUEL PUMP REMOVAL
1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT
2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM FRONT COVER
3. DISCONNECT FUEL PUMP CONNECTOR
4. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION
5. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK
6. REMOVE ROOM PARTITION TRIM





7. REMOVE ROOM PARTITION COVER

INSTALLATION HINT:
- Install the partition cover with butyl tape with arrow facing upward.
- Remove the 6 nuts.

HINT: Using a scraper, pry out the partition cover.





8. REMOVE FUEL PUMP
- Disconnect the wire clip from the fuel tank.
- Remove the 8 bolts, and disconnect the fuel pump set plate from the fuel tank.

Torque: 2.9 N.m (3O kgf.cm, 26 in..lb.)





- Remove the 3 nuts, and disconnect the fuel pump bracket from the fuel tank.

Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in..lb.)

- Disconnect the fuel pump hose from the fuel pump bracket, and remove the fuel pump, bracket and set plate assembly.
- Remove the gasket from the pump set plate.

INSTALLATION HINT: Use a new gasket.


ASSEMBLY HINT: Assembly is in the reverse order of disassembly.
