Component Tests


1. Ensure battery voltage is between 10-14 volts.
2. Remove washer tank.
3. Disconnect actuator electrical connector, then remove control relay and disconnect relay electrical connector.
4. Connect actuator check tool Nos. 09990-00150, 09990-002000 and 09990-00210 to actuator, control relay and body side harness through sub wire harness.
5. Connect checker tool red cable to battery positive terminal and black cable to battery ground, connect black cable of sub wire harness to battery ground terminal or body ground.
6. Place Sheet A, tool No. 09990-00163 on actuator checker.
7. Start engine and allow to idle.
8. Turn actuator checker switch to Front RH position.
9. Depress and hold Motor switch for a few seconds.
10. Depress brake pedal and hold until step 13 is completed.
11. Depress Power Switch, ensuring brake pedal does not go down. Do not depress Power Switch for more then 10 seconds.
12. Release Power Switch, ensuring brake pedal goes down.
13. Depress and hold Motor switch for a few seconds, ensuring pedal returns.
14. Release brake pedal.
15. Depress and hold Motor switch for a few seconds.
16. Depress brake pedal and hold about 15 seconds, as pedal is down, depress Motor switch for a few seconds, ensuring pedal does not pulsate.
17. Turn selector switch to Front LH position.
18. Repeat steps 6 through 16, then inspect Rear RH and Rear LH. When inspecting Rear LH, depress Rear LH switch instead of Power Switch and selector switch can be inspected.
19. Depress and hold Motor switch for a few seconds.
