Disassembly and Assembly
FRONT SEAT DISASSEMBLY1. REMOVE SEAT GARNISH
(a) Using a screwdriver, pull out the snap ring and remove the handle.
(b) Using a screwdriver, remove 2 switch knobs.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
(c) Remove 3 screws.
(d) Remove 3 screws from the seat lower side.
(e) Remove the garnish as shown.
(f) Disconnect the connector.
2. REMOVE SEATBACK BOARD
(a) Remove 2 screws.
(b) Push the board as shown with your hands.
(c) Slide the board upward to remove it.
3. REMOVE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY
(a) Using a screwdriver, remove the hog rings and disconnect the hooks from the seatback.
(b) Disconnect wire harness clamp.
(c) Disconnect the connector.
(d) Remove 4 bolts and the seatback assembly.
NOTICE: Do not damage, the wire harness or connectors.
4. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove 4 bolts.
(b) Disconnect the connectors.
(c) Remove the seat cushion assembly.
5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT
6. REMOVE SEATBACK COVER
(a) Remove headrest grommet.
(b) Peel the seatback cover away from around the seatback cushion.
7. REMOVE SEAT TRACK
Remove 5 bolts and the seat track.
8. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT MOTOR
Remove 2 bolts and the motor.
9. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER
Peel the seat cushion cover away from around the edge of the seat cushion.
FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY
ASSEMBLE FRONT SEAT PARTS BY FOLLOWING DISASSEMBLY SEQUENCE IN REVERSE
HINT:
- Using hog ring pliers, install the new hog ring.
- Before installing the reclining adjuster, align the match marks.
- If creases occur in the front seat, stretch out the creases by heating them with a dryer, etc. If the creases still cannot be removed, spray them lightly with a vaporizer before applying the hair dryer again.
